Pictures of SONY HB-101 RED for you:

I found that:
* mine is serial 207174.
* It doesn't has springs internally in the handle (at least this unit I have)
* It returns 126 as result of PRINT PEEK (&H8000)

We found that there's a second version which:

* has springs internally in the handle
* uses gate arrays CX23044 and CX23045.
* has pull-ups and returns 255 to PEEK (&H8000).

If you have a HB-101... could you verify the handle, make the PEEK test and post color of the case, results and serial number please ?

Regarding CASIO MX-101. Its' double-sided PCB.

A double sided phenolic paper circuit board? That's unusual on MSX, but an interesting low cost solution. It seems by the pictures that the board holes are non-metalized, probably because of the cheaper board material.

An MSX-Engine by Hitachi?! Now that's the first I ever seen! Since there's no discrete PSG & PPI on the board, I guess this chipset is very similar to the Yamaha S3527.

Indeed they are non-metalized.

That short jumpers with a soldering point at the center are the way they found to transfer signals from one side to another.

@l_oliveira

Cool!!!

Now, what do you thing about publishing an article on how to configure the LVA510 to output NTSC? Smile

This info could help many others interested on doing a PAL->NTSC conversion, like AxelStone on this thread.

I second that. I have a VG-8020/20 I'm attempting to convert to NTSC and I just can't figure out what to do with the LVA510.

A great resource indeed!

However, without knowing something about the ROMs, it's hard to start using that info for emulation... Does someone have the ability to provide information on the ROMs of:
- Daewoo Perfect-1
- Vestel Goldstar FC-200
