Indeed. Thanx for the pics!
you can see a LZ93A13 , this chip is a mapper ASCII use in megarom and for making ESE-SCSI
A weird machine indeed!
I can see:
6 Mhz Z80
A megarom mapper from ASCII
64MB ROM
512KB+512KB ROMS
OY-2-8910 Chip (AY-3-8910 clone???? )
I cannot find videochip, so maybe it is embeded in one of the engines
Some chips are manufactured in 1994, so probably this model was manufactured in 1995.
64MB? you mean 64KB(512Kbit). The EPROMs near the ASCII mapper are indeed 512KB(4Mbit). I assume the sandpapered QFP flat chip is MSX engine, which would mean the sandpapered Philippines chip is the VDP? The 10.7386 XTAL near it is the same as for TMS VDP.
The 26.601712 XTAL on the brown pcb is the same as on official PAL NES. The UMC NES chip is on the backside of the green pcb? Oh and if you have the time, could you dump the roms? =)
So the race is on. Who will be the first to emulate this nice piece 'o equipment!

The UMC chip not at the backside of the green pcb..it's at the back side of the yellow one(the back is green)...check this pic to see where it is...
I don't know how to dump the roms :o

It will be hap because he knows how to support NES. I guess the MSX part is very similar to other Arabic machines.
I don't know how to dump the roms
For the MSX part, you need a tape recorder or, better, a disk drive (with interface), then some tools to make the dumps.
For the NES part, you need a NES expert ... hap ?
I don't know how to dump the roms
Ok, no problem. Maybe Manuel (of team openMSX) can help you with that.
