I would say the memory mapper should work for a lot of applications… I’ve always had plenty of use for my 2MB mapper even without VGMPlay Big smile, we had it since the 90s. But indeed European 128K software may sometimes have problems, I guess I never ran into that myself since my systems all had 128K, but anything requiring > 128K should surely work.

My MSX does indeed display 1088KB RAM on startup, and like I said, it works with about half the games I've tried (and fortunately, it's worked with the ones I was most interested in, those being Akin and Pumpkin Adventure III, so I'm certainly very grateful to have this just to play those games alone!). I haven't tried TESTMAP, but I certainly can -- I see no reason it'd find any problems, though, as it sounds like the reason half the games I've tried don't work has been pretty well explained.

I'll try out the musical aspect of it sometime soon, too, as I'm kind of curious to see how well it works!

Also, Popolon_fr, are you the creator of this cartridge? If so, thanks very much! Even if it can't play everything I wanted to play, it can still play most of it, and I'm having an absolute blast with Pumpkin Adventure III right now, so I really appreciate your efforts!

What exactly is not emulated?

The reading of external memory mapper registers is not blocked on emulated Panasonic MSX2+ and Turbo R. (I do not know which other real MSXs block it.)

Ah, that. Indeed: https://github.com/openMSX/openMSX/issues/966 is still open.

I've definitely run into a lot of MSX community references already that have gone *completely* over my head, and then a lot of things that I think are Dutch pop culture references that have also gone completely over my head... but it's been fun reading them anyway, because it reminds me of the '90s, when the proto-internet was basically nothing but in-jokes and everybody was trying to out-cool one another. Takes me back! Wink

Wyrdwad, Can you open your MMM and remove INT jumper and test your games again?
(Reassemble the case to test to avoid inserting the PCB upside down!)

I... can't stress enough how completely inept I am with anything hardware-related. I don't even know what an INT jumper is, nor how to remove it, nor would I feel comfortable removing it! Sorry. Wink

A jumper is that:

It easy to remove but it's not important I think it will not change anything on your 2+.

MMM has jumper on INT? is it designated to send interrupts from SN sound chip to the computer? (just curious)
