It should not even be the case (if it is)... It can be chosen with the _mbchip command, one can eject the fm-pac if he doesn't wanna hear it or mute the fm-pac on the mixer...

BUT! It's possible your midi-pac is taking over your fm-pac. Some games I tested mute the fm-pac while others don't.
Check if you have both midi-pac and fm-pac sound in some random japanese games while you have your music module not connected...

I think I read that Msx-Music was disabled in the Msx-Audio Bios 1.3 to avoid possible compatibility problems.

It would be interesting to let the opportunity to use it anyway.

This leaves the free voice of new experiments.

@igal
Disconnect? Sorry, I don't know what you're talking about. The MSX-Audio BIOS isn't able to disconnect the YM2413 chip from the computer.

@Meits, @mars2000you
Hey, are you talking about facts or rumors? So you tried to use Moonblaster stereo and it's not working with the MSX-Audio BIOS v1.3? Can you detail the steps to reproduce the bug?

My reaction was only based on Igal question. On emulators, the (Panasonic or 1.3) MSX-AUDIO rom is not required to play Moonblaster (or other format) stereo songs. It's only useful when MSX-AUDIO BASIC is used or for some games in ROM format, that choose MSX-AUDIO instead of MSX-MUSIC when the MSX-AUDIO chip is detected.

Probably, Igal makes some confusion with external MSX-MUSIC chips that are de-activated by MSX-AUDIO 1.3 when internal MSX-MUSIC chips are detected (on MSX2+ and TurboR).

@ Mars2000: Exactly.
I thought Bios 1.3 disables audio on Msx-all except Msx Msx2 + and Turbo-R.
Sorry, sometimes I do not understand English backwards.

From what we heard ALESTE & ALESTE2 suppose to work with MSX-AUDIO. Unfortunately we do not have absolute report saying they were supported under the official release. As far as we know COMPILE released previews & demos on DISKSTATION which had MSX-AUDIO title song to it (but actuall game demo was FM-SOUND). So we assume that there is a mixed up that official version came with MSX-AUDIO compatibilty. According to the actuall advertisement and some internet informations, FS-CA1 seems not compatible with Aleste series. Anyway if you have a definite source or have some information ragarding this let us know.
