Hi, I have two questions about Playsoniq:

1. Can the default setting of memory be changed into a user setting? (Normally 12 MB + SCC, but then for example 4 MB + SCC) I like to have a total amount of 4096kB and the computer already has 256kB.

2. Can we load two Konami's into the memory of Playsoniq? I would like to use the Game Master in slot 1 and for example Metal Gear in slot 2, so we can save states to disk in this game.

Nobody knows? The manual isn't clear at this point.

Did you contact the makers of Playsoniq?

Yes I did, but no answer until now, maybe they are too busy, so maybe someone else can tell...

i believe that you can load two konami's into Playsonic with romload but you will have to look at romload's switches

i vaguely remember reading something about being able to only use 4 MB but im not sure,why would you want that anyway?

You can indeed load 2 konami roms with loadrom, as long as both roms fit in 512KB since the playsoniq "only" has 512MB of memory for it.
You can turn the memory mapper off so only your MSX memory is used, or set the memory mapper to use 2MB per subslot instead of 4MB. There is no memory config mentioned in the manual (http://supersoniqs.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/playsoniq-use...) for "just" 4MB only.sub slot.

@creepy: thanks. How do you load them? With what syntax? It must run the Game Master 2 first and the Game Master 2 must run the game. This is also possible?

"Mirroring of MSX1 video output over the PlaySoniq video output"

...I've been "away" for a while. It's now finally able to use a single monitor?

I was wrong. It seems romload only "emulates" the second rom. It does not load the 2nd rom. If you want to do that, I guess you'll have to use a Megaflash from.

@hbarcellos
no it will make a duplicate screen of the original image
so basically one MSX ->same output on two monitors

Hmmm, looks like a single-monitor solution to me.
If the original image of the MSX can be "mirrored" by default to the Playsoniq output, and turned-on and off when SMS vdp is disabled/enabled, there would be no need to plug a monitor into the original msx video output. Isnt it?
