I have a report from the owner of the all three devices that they do not work when all are being employed.

When GR8NET and MFR are inserted into the machine, machine behaves weirdly restarting and rebooting, but sometimes works properly after several reboots. I am trying to find the cause of it, to no much success so far.

I need people who have all three devices to build this configuration and see if it works properly - will be clear if machine will start and get through to game in MFR or to BASIC several times.

Technical info: for some reason machine misbehaves when GR8NET is searching for its other instances through the machine; I looked into circuit diagram, and see that WSX has series resistors on the signal wires towards the slots. Not sure what designers wanted to achieve, but as MFR, most probably, does not have logic shifter and uses series resistors to divide input voltage to 3.3V specification, it will consume some current in any state, causing voltage drop because of resistors on the machine's main board. This may also cause signal distortions. This is anecdotic theory, but I can not come out with any other which would explain the nature of failure.

Is it not just a power issue? I heard that the Panasonic machines have weak power supplies. Maybe that is the issue?

Good idea, to be checked. Thank you!

I have A1-WX (not WSX) and other two carts, when i insert G8NET in slotexpander (which is put into rear slot 2) - everything is fine. I was a little bit lazy to pull out expander, so i'm gonna to ensure first - does A1-WX counts as a test too? Btw, if it is power issue then my machine have not 100% original power supply - i have replaced the transformer to the one which works with 220 volts, so it might behave differently

I have no problems with this seemingly original WSX.

The problem you mention seems a power issue.

Some people replaces original psu with 220v psu with lower amperage or maybe you are using a slot expander that doesn´t supply enough power (and needs the optional +12v supplemental option that some of those expanders use optionally) or maybe your psu has some capacitors damaged and lost part of its power capacity.

My brother has a very similar configuration with the same machine as yours (WSX) and he doesn´t have any issues with a MFRSCC+SD(+512KB version) and Gr8net in second slot.

Hope it helps

There's no slot expander involved. It's gr8net straight in slot 1 and mfr staight in slot 2.
my clip runs it just fine with an unmodded wsx. not claiming it can't be a power issue, but if the system is in good condition it should run fine.
