Hi,
Does the R800 is compatible with Z800?
thx
Most of it probably is. But where to find a z800?
i'm trying
Don't even think they still produce the z800. It's not on the zilog site.
However Zilog essentially ignored the Z800 in favour of their 32-bit Z80,000 and it appears the Z800 never entered production.
This can you read on www.compwisdom.com/topics/Zilog-Z800
But there are other compatible Zilog Z8xxxx described on this site.
That's just one website's claims against the other. Wikipedia suggests it was available (and thus in production) in four different variations.
I don't think R800 is compatible with Z800 at all. Probably just the Z80 instructions.
Just check: http://www.ic2ic.com/
Why do you want to use z800 anyway?
I thinking how to build a new turbo r!!!!
Maybe with FPGA like OCM.
But R800 is less documented than z80.
hmm. .well the r800 is not the same as a z800
