Padial as well as sinfoxx should still be making SD interfaces.

I donot know why everytime people like retrotechie likes to continues remarks about us.
But simply sunrise and padial continue to make products.
The new serie is upcoming and the last spareparts have been arranged so that the soldering company can make its effort.
People who visited the last MSX fair at Nijmegen would have seen the new package for the CF interface-thanks to photo manuel made-. So assuming that it will be not be available, nonsense
Running Naked in a Field of Flowers

It might be available, but questions can it be bought ?

And no this is not about sunrise quiting.
The reason why people make those comments Rob is Simple. Check your mailbox and check the negative rumours, it might give you an idea why people are starting to make those rumours.

And I think I'm saying things nice over here. Ohh and if you want to make a negative comment on this, then better spend that time on giving me or someone else an answer. Do that better and I think it will be much more clear to people if sunrise is still interested in selling there stuff and you wouldn't have these nasty rumours.

i am sure Rob is doing his best. i would also like people to stop complaining, we are using 20 yrs old
system and we should not get angry because of few month delay .
Rob has his own mode of communication , respect it.
We have only few hardware producers : they take risk , invest money for prototypes ,
they order batch of prods , this is hundreds if not thousands $$$ ....
They should not suffer from bad rumours. they are not doing anything bad .

open your eyes : would you be happy if sunrise stopped due to bad feedbacks ?
we should support any hardware , software producers , unconditionally , c'mon !!!!

IMHO if Sunrise were in a more competitive market like say, MP3 players, they would have gone out of business years ago. But they're not, so there's little point in bitching about it. If you don't like their service (or prices), don't buy from them. And please Rob, don't take things personal: I understand the position you're in. It's practically impossible to make a living selling 80's homecomputer peripherals (or software). So anyone doing this, will have some other job to pay their bills, and thus has to do these things 'on the side'. Which limits how much time, money and professionalism you can put in it. And everyone has their own priorities, and style of dealing with the outside world. If I were selling CF interfaces, I might do a better job. But I'm not, and I'm glad Sunrise/Rob IS (and very happy with my CF interface, btw).

In general I think most Sunrise products are a bit expensive, and their communication to (potential) buyers could be much better. That said: what I've seen from them looks good & works well. Big smile And that's the most important.

open your eyes : would you be happy if sunrise stopped due to bad feedbacks ?

Disagree with "any": we should support any good products, regardless of hardware, software or who produced it. For that reason I prefer things with open design and/or source code. If someone goes away, anyone else is free to pick things up.

In the open source software world, you see this all the time. Some projects have been abandoned several times, only to be pickup up / merged into other projects later on. And with each iteration, the product keeps improving / picks up new tricks and capabilities.

It's good for Sunrise, that they have people who will support Sunrise unconditionally and I wish you luck with dealing with them in the future.

But the problems are for bad communications, not about waiting on products. Something I and most people doesn't seem to care, because we know that. A few months delay for software & hardware is perfectly fine. However a few months delay or no reaction at all to e-mails + a defunct site is what's causing the problems. All things which are easy to solve.
I'm not expecting a 24 hours response service, but it should be possible to answer e-mails in one month.

In general some remarks.
Sunrise let solder its products ,so it takes a little time .
Products are not expensive considering the above mentioned and other products that you can compare with it are in general without a case.
