Or replace the battery by a Panasonic Goldcap. No leakage and no more replacing.
Did it for 2 computers and works great.

>5V rated voltage. Something as 'low' as 0.1F (actually a huuuge capacity in electronics terms! Shocked! ) may get you a # of hours data retention. Bigger is better, but at some point internal leakage of the supercapacitor becomes a bigger factor than RTC current draw, so (if size or cost were no object) little point in putting 100F in there for example.

Somewhere around 0.22F~1F / 5.5V is a good compromise. Every major electronics distributor (or perhaps even a local electronics' shop) has these in stock.
