Hi all,
I am looking for a Slot expander, suited for Sony HB-F700D (like the title says -=lol=-) Smile

I emailed a few hardware producers, Supersoniqs f.i. , only their Modulon isn't suited without a extention-cable.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I mailed Supersoniqs a few weeks ago without reply.

I used to have the CIEL (?) slot expander for my TR, not sure where you would get one from today, mine came into Europe as part of a batch that was sold a few years ago at a dutch MSX fair. I placed some feet on the bottom to take pressure of the TR rear slot.
Padial used to do a slot with a cable, he may still have some available? http://msx.deneb.nl/page2.HTM

Too bad Repro Factory is out of stock.
I will email Padial, good idea. Smile
*edit
I emailed Leonardo Padial and also 3 others.

The slot expander from Repro Factory is very simplified. For example, BusDir pins are connected directly with each other and it's same for the Soundin pins. Also, there is no connector for an additional power supply.
About slot expander from Padial, I do not know but PCBs have a strange shape. It does not seem practical to use on a lot of MSX.

I wonder why no one produces the classic Gouda 5.0 slotexpander anymore. Sure there is enough market for it. And with 3D printers it shouldn't be too hard to make a solid casing.
The Gouda 5.0 slot expander is VERY suitable for the Sony 500/700/900. Just plug it in and let the cable disappear below the computer.
I even found an old picture with this situation on it Smile

This would be a perfect config for me indeed.

So basically the Gouda 5.0 expander is the most handy model of expander out there.
I can solder stuff, did a few basic things in my electric guitar, but looking at some of the schematics and instructions on the internet, that is a few levels higher than soldering a few pots and pickups to wires.
Also did change the switch on a MegaflashromScc to a flat button-switch, also a HB-F700 thing, otherwise there is no room for a cartridge next to the megaflashrom cart.

The MegaFlashromSCC cannot be used in a slot expander

I know, was just to explain my level of hardware modding, not very high, so making my own slot expander is out of the question for now Tongue

I still have a Repro-Factory 's Expander modified with a flat cable. Thus, it's in 2 parts with a flat cable between.
Perhaps it can fit your needs.
I cannot send you picture now, cauze i'm on vacations, but if you had not find what you need until the end of the week I will be able to send you pictures next week.

Contact me by email or MP.
