Yesterday, msxholder showed me the software for the CD-ROM interface and player... This is what it does without the interface and CD-ROM. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv9lIJXOu1U
It looks like the Museon museum owns both the CD-ROM player with cable and interface and the Tele Atlas CD-ROM. I've contacted them.
The only thing what i don't have is the CD rom.
msxholder: so, I asked the Museon whether we can make that setup live again using your software and their (or your) hardware and their CD-ROM... I wonder what they'll say...
Any idea how many CD-ROMs exist for this project? I guess only the Tele Atlas stuff, but I have also seen on a picture that there is an MSX DEMO DISC...
msxholder: I have an ISO image of the CD-ROM... if you burn it into a CD you can probably use it.
manuel: great job!
Thanks to Bas K.!
We are planning an attempt to get the CD-ROM player working tomorrow at the Vintage Philips Weekend in Eindhoven!
Nice achievement! What software?
I created a new topic for the NMS 0210 specifically. See https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/hardware/philips-nms-0210...
