Hi all, no answer on my schematics, so I just did the build and it works! So schematics in my previous post are OK. Now I am just waiting for a small case I ordered to put the board and DB9 connector in...

On the upper left of the board you can see the GND (black) and +5V (red) going both to PS2 and DB9 connector.

Oh, sorry I missed your schematics picture, but good you got it working. Thanks for posting the picture as well. This makes it more easy to understand.

Mouse is active device, so it needs the +5V just like Arduino does, so yes this connection is correct. I anyway suggest that you disconnect the plug from MSX while upgrading the software though USB. I can't really say if this is needed or not, but I've always done that just in case.

Funny that you are using this connectors like this Wink Looks nice! I did the same but than with a USB connector ..
For me this solution is still the best way to have a mouse connected!!

@NYYRIKKI. Thanks for the answers.
@edoz. I had a PS/2 mouse still lying around and also this connector (with female PS2 connectors), which I dismantled:

But is also works with an (older) USB mouse I have with an PS/2 to USB converter.

Hello JohanMSX I've been following this thread for a while and found your shematics with Arduino Nano very interesting.
I've mounted it but the only trouble was that the original program from NYYRIKKI cannot be compiled for the Arduino Nano(or at least I could not).
My question: Is there any place where the new listin or adaption can be found?
Thanks.

Hi Tingis53, for compiling I used the following:

Arduino software used: Arduino 1.8.5 Windows ZIP file for non admin install

You need also File:Ps2.zip

As of Arduino 1.0 ps2.zip should be unpacked into arduino/libraries. In ps2.h replace "WProgram.h" with "Arduino.h".

Source code File by NYYRIKKI, which I used : Mouse.ino

Hi JohanMSX , thanks, now I got it .
I was making a mistake during the Arduino precess so I could not upload the code to the arduino now It's OK!

I finally got my correct size boxes (55x35x15mm) and put in the Arduino board (I glue gunned the connections to prevent short circuits), here is the finished PS/2 to MSX mouse converter:
