Hello,
I adquired a VG-8020 mainboard recently. It lacks of video encoder board.
I am doing one for it and want to connect to mainboard via the connector on it.
Firs, I thought it was a Molex KK or Molex KF connector type but it is not. It is quite similar but it has 2 notch at both sides.
You can see the connector in this picture.
It is not a JST connector, as the others in the boards. It does not fit in.
This kind of connector seems to be used in other boards, such as NMS8280.

Anybody knows the connector type and if can be purchased anywhere?

Looks like a (kind of) PH connector. I don't know if it's one but maybe this will help you on your quest Wink

Probably a common type of connector, but they come in many varieties... Tongue

Can you measure pitch (pin-to-pin distance), and perhaps even thickness of the pins? That would narrow down a search considerably. For example take mm.'s from 1st to last pin & divide by 8.

Thanks to all for the answers.
Finally, I was not able to find the exact connector, so I decided to use a JST XH connector with the notches removed.
It is a 2.54 pitch connector too and it fits perfect.
You can check the pictures for the connector details.
