Right now when I use my MSX, I place it on the foot rest of my couch while feeding it to my TV when I play games. I'm now expecting an external floppy drive and am arriving at the conclusion that a dedicated desk setup would make more sense at this point. How do you have your MSX computer set up? Can I see pictures?

Hi.

Nowadays I use my MSX in emulator mode, using openmsx. Maybe when the children leave I will have more room (and respect) for my first computer.

Hydragon, what is in the screen on the rigth side of the picture? Are you digitalizing what is coming from the MSX?

Hamlet, I love your wallpaper. I didn't know that circuit boards where good to isolate the sound of the room Big smile

@jepmsx: I don't think that is wallPAPER ;-) Looks like real hardware to me with the lighting.

I have on my desk a Philips 8250 MSX2+ with a GR8NET cartridge using a micro SD with 4Gb.
Next to that stands my Panasonic FS-A1GT with a Megaflashrom SCC+SD 512kB, I am sharing the SD card from the GR8NET, in slot 2 a Supersoniqs Modulon Slotexpander with a Moonsound in it and a 1Mb Memorymapper
On a cabinet under my desk stands my Sony HB-F700D with a Carnivore2, using the shared SD card
(no photo yet, at work) Smile

That's exactly what happens, SCART is hooked up to the TV the vid out put on the DIN goes to an EZCAP USB capture device.
I'm using Streamlabs OBS, to embed the sources and it all comes together in a daily MSX stream on www.twitch.tv/mrhydragon ( I'm the first and only one that started to do a live MSX Challenge in which we go through every Cartridge release ever. ) Started in June this year with the challenge and last night game nr #80 was finished.

Games are played on the actual machine, that's why I'm capturing it indeed, best way to play MSX games, is by using actual hardware to enjoy the best experience :D

I only have one TurboR GT with a FlashJacks (with good earphones to the real stereo) and a MegaflashRom SCC. That's enough for me Smile

I sold most of my collection. However, I was donated a Sony HBF9S, with a faulty joystick port. I have a MFRSCC+SD and a Carnivore 2 on long term loan. My PC has a 28" monitor, that also has a composite video input. I can also view picture in picture, but why would I do that? I think I regret selling my TurboR, it had a nice keyboard! I had little 2+ or TurboR software.
