I don't remember the chip used by Manuel Pazos for his MFRSCCSD, but I understood it has many rooms inside to "create" all the stuff this incredible CART has inside.

Now, using the same chip, how many stuff could be included in a sister cart for MFRSCCSD?
And what kind of HW should be integrated in your opinion?
Guillian, maybe you can consider to create a sister cart for your MFRSCCSD?
Think about a couple of card that can completly transform your MSX in a powerful machine

This is my personal list in order of relevance (at least 1 & 2 should be fantastic):
-1 Moonsound
-1.1 MSX.Audio & MSX.Music (but maybe Moonsound can play the same stuff they do?)
- 2 V9990 if it can work with main VDP / V9978 if it cannot
- 3 network card
- 4 mp3 player

WWhat is your list?
Guillian, what do you think about?

V9978 doesn't exist, giuseve... and MoonSound cannot play everything MSX-Audio and MSX-Music can. It's just different. (Although very similar... perhaps with some tricks you can play most of it...)

@giuseve: there is no enough capacity in the current FPGA to implement any of these: MoonSound, MSX-Audio, MSX-MUSIC or V9990. A new PCB, with a bigger FPGA is needed.

A network card can be easily made using an SPI Arduino shield (ENC28J60 or similar)

MSX-MUSIC is implemented in 1chipMSX : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1chipMSX

Yes, I know. And?

Understood Guillian.
Consider that I was not thinking about adding something else to the current MFRSCCSD.
I was thinking about using the same FPGA to create a NEW PCB for a ANOTHER KIND CARTRIDGE to use IN PAIR with MFRSCCSD to complete the set of MUST HAVE HARDWARE for MSX.

Also in that case the FPGA is not big enough?
If it is possible, what could you easily include?
I'd already have a name for it : MegaSetXtension (MSX) he he :-)

ALSO creating FPGA implementations is not an easy job. It is like emulation, in a sense that it depends on the creator of it how "accurate" it is. Look at the 1chipmsx https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3ptFInJW4Q timing is wrong. Also FPGA Opll/SCC is not perfected yet and v9990, msx audio and (afaik) opl4 dont exist yet in fpga form, so someone has to create it.

Thats right. The FPGA is not big enough.

As syn said, it is not an easy task. More over, I don't have the knowledge and/or time to do it.

Thanks for confirming that MSX-MUSIC is emulated in the FPGA of the 1chipMSX.

I don't get your point. Can you explain it please?
