There seems to be an issue with the Wiki.
When your not logged in, the content that is shown is sometimes different from when you are.
For instance, logout and go to https://www.msx.org/wiki/Category:Joypads
And now try the same thing while logged in.
When not logged in, you get 7 sub-pages, while when logged in you get 22.
I have noticed this same thing on other category pages.
I have already pointed out this issue after the site was updated but no one can fix it. This problem occurs for all categories. Actualization seems slow and hazardous.
What's the interest to not be logged in when visiting MRC? I'm always logged in and no any problem, except the fact that sometimes although logged in on the non-Wiki pages, I found me non-logged on the Wiki pages, what's annoying if if I want to add a new page or edit an existing page.
The only solution is then to log out while being on a non-Wiki page, then log in again to be logged in on all MRC pages! Don't try indeed to log in on a Wiki page in the mentioned situation, it will not work!!!
The interest is that a visitor when he passes who sees only part of the wiki can not be interested in the site.
Moreover, the wiki is supposed to be free to watch. And then, it's not safe to connect to an external machine.
Not only that, but search engines may not index the site properly. While we have accounts, not everybody that is looking for something will be interested to create one, or know that he needs to, to see all the content. Also, I may use another device to check something and not be logged in. I don't want to be presented different (stale) content in such cases.
And I have noticed the same annoyance as mars2000you. Sometimes I find myself logged in on the main site, but not the wiki and have to go through hoops to fix the issue.
Note to the admins: please ban Hendali, he's spamming the main page of the Wiki.
Mr. Ambassadors (1702)
Removed the Hendali spam account. Next time, please do a mod alert in stead because we'll see it more prominent (I was lucky to read this topic, otherwise I'd have missed it)
How can I make a mod alert in the Wiki? It seems only possible in the forum or in the comments to the news.
So? Use any news/forum mod alert, and refer to the wiki in the text you can add.
