Wiki editing broken?

This could definitely be a user error and, if so, then I apologise.

I am logged in to the site, as you can tell because I'm posting here. However, if I head to the wiki then the 'Welcome TomH | log out' text in the top left is replaced by the login boxes, ad trying to log in produces a page titled 'Access denied'. As per my contributions page, slender as it may be, I have been an authorised user in the past.

As per the opening sentence, it's definitely possible that I'm suffering a sudden cognitive inability, but is it also possible that there's a software fault at play?

Known issue with the following workaround:

Another solution is to go on the main page of the site, then log out, then log in, and finally go back to the Wiki.

It works on Windows with Chrome. (I've already mentioned it, but it has not been included in the Wiki).

I've even used this trick when I'm only visiting the Wiki. It's an automatic move when I see that I'm falsely not logged in on the Wiki. I can'r accept this contradiction between main page and Wiki!

Xièxie, fixed. I was previously unaware of the FAQ, so sorry for asking something I could simply have looked up.

Just confirmed that that works too, I’ve added it.

TomH: There’s a few known issues here and there, but the FAQ makes it easy to point to the answers Smile.

I've hinted to this before, but it would be helpful if a link to that troubleshooting FAQ is put on some prominent place.
@Admins: something you're willing to pick up? Perhaps a good place would be (via the menu) MRC -> Help Where Help could be a new Wiki page that refers to the troubleshooting FAQ as well.

Though the way the menu works (friendly mostly to desktop/mouse users) makes it harder for people using touch devices (with possibly small screens / low resolutions) to find/locate the sub categories/pages (they might even miss that they're there at all). Considering this, it would be helpful if the main page under a main menu item would be an index page linking to all the sub categories/pages.

-edit: and/or: Forum -> Help | Wiki -> Help

Via reference as a sticky post in this subforum would also probably be appropriate, and easy to achieve?

Oh yes, that would be a possibility (and indeed easy) too Smile
