From MCM 4 I see that the Belgian ECC also had a *postal address* in the Netherlands indeed.

It looks like ECC did somewhat cooperate with AVT, they did some modifications on their products and sold some extras as you pointed out.

In MCM 2 what is the relation with Korea regarding the Expansion Computer Case?
The article writes "Importer", but I don't understand that. I think the Expansion Computer Case was made by E.C.C. themselves, or that seems to me, at least. The article isn't very clear about it (a Belgian/Dutch joined development, but who was the Dutch counterpart? AVT?).

As ECC was a computer shop, it's not strange that they (also) sold AVT products. Other shops also sold AVT (see e.g. MSX Club Magazine 4, page 5).

ECC has indeed created the Expansion Computer Case, but it seems that the product was manufactured in Korea by Goldstar. So, it explains the end of the review in MCM.

See also MCM 6 for some details on ECC.

Interesting ... and definitely their products were made in Belgium, so the word 'importer' is only for the Goldstar computer probably (as for the Daewoo computer, they sold the AVT variant).

I'm now still wondering whether the Expansion Computer Case should be called the "AVT Expansion Computer Case". There have been some photos where there is an AVT logo on it, but the ones from the Wiki page itself do not have the logo. Nor does the one I own. Also ECC sold it by themselves, there would be no real obvious reason to put AVT on it. In the article on the item in MCM AVT isn't even mentioned. So there is some relation with AVT, but it seems to be too vague to call the whole item the "AVT Expansion Computer Case".

What are your thoughts?

I think you're right. It's an ECC product (with the same initals as ECC!), even if a few exemplars had an AVT logo (sticker added ?). Also the references ECC8 and ECC4 go to ECC, not AVT. So, I wil change this page.

Btw, I've seen the update for the AVT page. I think it's clearer now.

Thanks. I forgot to add the name of the company director, Lex van Tienhoven, which probably defined the name AVT. Also, perhaps a photo of the AVT FC-200 could be added.

Thanks for arranging an ECC category page. Perhaps we should also make a redirect for "AVT" to "Category:AVT"?

It's fixed in the pages with AVT mention. The trick is to replace [[AVT]] by [[:Category:AVT|AVT]]. I make redirects only for pre-existing non-category pages (or when the title of an existing category needs to be changed or degraded to a non-category page).

Where can I find this picture? Edit: found here: https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/hardware/msx-at-firato-84

I think it can be added
- or on the Goldstar FC-200 page
- or on a new page AVT FC-200 (while mentioning it was finally not released), just like for the AVT CPC-300 for which I doubt it was really released, as there is no any trace in the ads after the review in MCM of the 'prototype' with still the Daewoo logo

What do you prefer?
