Still a 21 disk difference.. Would've expected it to be smaller (I did the effort ;-))

Yeah, take that Louthrax ;-)

Some question about the rules: while the quiz could really take some more participants, I think it also makes sense to not allow people to enter after a specific day - to prevent people just going for the big points, and not participating from the beginning, right? Wouldn't be much fun for the people that do (for starters) ;-)

So they should speak up now, or hold their peace (I'd say Wink)

Congrats Ren! Did you count the disks one by one? I tried to, but was getting lost in the process, so I just made an approximation based on the pixels used for 10 disks in the middle of the stack...

Mh, that was the same thing yesteryear.
On one hand, I wanted to keep the game open for everyone, the other hand is what you are asking for. I´m sure there are more users out there who read the quizes but didn´t want to join, to disturb, what ever.
But with this faboulous value range of gaming points(TM), I can keep the field close. So I would try to keep it open for late comers, I don´t think someone will make the most of this for him self.
Higher values in the later game can be given at once or like today divided up for all. I have the quests prepared, but not in a special order, so I can keep control.
Im very open to suggestions.

I must admit, that there was only 642 disks in the staple. The last one was a cleaning disk.
We did taken the photo with a extrem wide angle lens, so disk in the middle should not have the same height as disks at the ends.

@Louthrax Using the available pics, Photoshop + sharpen (helped a little bit) & going from some recognizable disk(s) to recognizable disk(s) Smile
I'm quite intimate now with Hamlet's MSX disks (are those actually all filled with MSX soft? Quite a collection I'd say Wink)

At first I was thinking about measuring pixels as well, but well yeah.. Smile
In the end I applied a tactic like yours to validate my result, but yeah, you always seem to fall short.

In the end the effort has been payed. And yes, the disk are all full of MSX soft. I was surprised how much demos and original disk there was. And where they live are much more to discover. I really want spend some weeks just exploring my old software (as long as they will include datas). If you want to help me with this job, be prepared when visiting the fair!
