I've been thrown over a picture, which made me do a lot of gratuitous investigation.
Since 1985 there exist a german soap called "Lindenstraße" and in mid 1986 there was a VG8020 among the actors.

Notice the Apple poster!

Years later they used a Apple Cube...

I like the "no monitor" setup, great way to gain some place on your desktop Smile

I vaguely remember this soap BTW. We were receiving German channels in north-est France, my favorite German show at the time was called "Pusstenblum" (not sure about the spelling), which was a science & nature show for kids.

Oh yes, Peter Lustig was the hero of my childhood. "It´s finished! Switch off the TV. Now!" he used to say every ending.
They used a lot of Philips devices, a early product placement. So the computer has to be a Philips, too.
1986, after one year of weekly watching Lindenstraße, I lost interrest. Or found a girlfriend. Or both.
Now my girlfriend is getting old and I found interesst in MSX again.

Look, there's a Konami MSX game on the shelf ! Hard to say which one, but I'm sure somebody will recognize it (that could have been part of your Christmas contest Smile).

Incredible to read about Peter Lustig here. He is my childhood hero as well. In his show 'Löwenzahn' he taught me the world. And the german language. He died last year.

Athletic Land? But mine has only one screenshot printed on the back.
Switch off now!
You have to watch "Löwenzahn" 54,
Peter Lustig and casual computer in the early eighties.

Yes, seems to have 4 vertical screenshots (checking all my game boxes right now...).
Could be Track & Field 2 ?

In some collection of back covers I have scans of (too lazy to check my real boxes!), it could be
- Hyper Sports 1
- Track & Field 1
- Track & Field 2

I think Hyper Sports 1 is the most likely, looking at the side of that box. (Especially the title logo part.)

Wonderful episode! This really put me in a nostalgic mood, even if it looks they already had spam at the time, and computers knowing what you want to buy !! Also the barcode-scanners in the supermarkets have not changed that much.

My favorite quote: "Spielen ist langweilig, programmen selber schreiben, das macht spass !" :)

The "Hans the hacker" part was a bit creepy, reminding me my mother telling me to leave the MSX and go play outside.

I also really liked the picture scanner they showed :)

Final word about the main subject of the episode (computers writing poetry), you can check this site: http://botpoet.com/vote/chicken/
