Looking at the 1st picture you posted on page 2 again, I'm wondering what's the joystick(pad?)-like thing with yellow buttons on the lower-right?

It´s a 80s deluxe joystick sold under Micro-Händler, Elite and other brand names.

Does it work with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Smile) ?
Looks like a super cool (and solid) device! Are the "paddle" working on MSX (in BASIC command or with Arkanoid or other games)?

Unfortunally not. It´s a C= compatible stick. Long time ago, I modified it to get two independent fire buttons and use it since for the MSX. But I didn´t exchange the potentiometer, especially because even the Arkanoid 1 & 2 values differ. Also the standard MSX type do.

I've been thrown over a picture, which made me do a lot of gratuitous investigation.
Since 1985 there exist a german soap called "Lindenstraße" and in mid 1986 there was a VG8020 among the actors.

Naah, not that impressive... Here in Finland we had this educational small children's show where a forest troll "Rölli" drinks bottle of Jack Daniels, starts to riot and passes out to forest together with Spectravideo SVI-318 & 328... Oh, those good old times when even kids TV-shows were more realistic.

Sometimes I wonder what happened to this VG8235...

Did Boris ever played Konamis Tennis? Did he managed to buy a power cord and a SCART cable? Or is it still wrapped in plastic in his treasure chamber, next to his 959?

Yes, it was back in 1986, he received a gift from Philips on the CeBit in Hannover. This picture was printed in the german issue of MSXInfo.
Did somebody knew this lady?

I didn´t knew the 8240 was sold in Germany, but neither was the CD ROM drive...
