So I noticed Smile That is why I used another program to do the desired upscaling.

Check the difference:

Your video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwcfxye4jtM
My video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoE3WiT5vGg

Already in the first minute with the red & blue test, it's quite obvious.

That old video was recorded *without* -doublesize... (at 320x24) and without -doublesize even 512x212 pixel content is downscaled first... So when you record a video with openMSX, use *at least* -doublesize. And using triplesize is nice to get 60fps on YouTube.

I found back the original avi here:
Software: openMSX 0.6.3-dev7577
Creation Date: 2008-01-31
VIDEO: [ZMBV] 320x240 0bpp 59.923 fps 55.5 kbps ( 6.8 kbyte/s)

So now you know why I used software to upscale the files I got from recording the chunks?

Still not really clear to me why you had to upscale in the editor rather than using -triplesize… Smile

So my confusion here is… double and triple size is supported… so you use another program to do upscaling. I don’t follow how the former leads to the latter conclusion Smile.

Quite simple: OpenMSX doesn't support the double/triple size option when recording in chunks due to changing from 50 to 60 Hz.

But Manuel just said that it does…

Indeed, I must have misread that back then, as I got a syntax error when trying to combine those two functions and expected a "doesn't" in that sentence instead of "does" . Maybe I made a typo or something?
