Hi all...

I've started to discover the power under the "machine_spec.xml + system roms" engine you can find in openmsx.
As I've browsed openMSX folders, I've found my (dreaded) Toshiba HX-20E frankenstein wasn't there. In fact no toshiba HX20 flavour is there (apparently there are sub variants). So I said, "let's complete it with my real MSX". I downloaded the proper tools, and with great help of my GR8NET, it was just a piece of cake.

Ok then: once I've locally recreated "my msx" to be emulated with openmsx, what should I do?
I have the sha checksums of the 2 roms: bios_basic (0.0.0x0000_32KB) + city_landscape_word_processor (3.3.0x8000_16KB), the rom themselves, and my toshiba_hx20e.xml
Should I integrate all these files onto the project github? Should I just inform some developer?

Thanks.

PS: NOW I understand why "print inp(&ha8)" yielded a 0x00, that is the most bizarre of all msx memory configurations ever. Of course no magic "-1 poke" could achieve anything... Sad

Now I invite you all to "enjoy" this nightmare MSX Smile There's so MUCH professional software miserabily failing to do anything with this memory layout... Even programs claiming to be standard...

If that machine is completely original, I'm interested to add the configuration to openMSX's repository. You can submit a pull request or just contact me and I'll take care of it.

We don't have any Toshiba HX-20 variant included indeed, so it's very interesting!

Thanks in advance.

Of course!

My Toshiba HX-20E is virgin (in rom terms), it has no manipulation whatsoever, (except a small tweak in the audio mixer part to have a louder SCC, but irrelevant in rom terms). You'll be getting a mail in the near future then.

Thanks!
