This is openMSX code from the log:

10-11-15 12:02:23,665 openmsx[2932]: 5 openmsx 0x0000000108cf7939 _ZN7openmsx10ClassSaverINS_9Video9000EEclINS_16XmlOutputArchiveEEEvRT_RKS1_bPKcb + 176297

But that doesn't reappear in the crash log. The crashing thread has no information at all (thread 1). The other thread (0, the main thread) does show some openMSX code though:

2 org.openmsx.openmsx 0x0000000108b7cf18 void openmsx::InputArchiveBase::serialize(char const*, openmsx::YMF262::EnvelopeState&ampWink + 88

Interestingly enough, both are about serialization. But the first is an XmlOutputArchive of the Video9000 and the latter is InputArchiveBase of the YMF262 envelope state (MoonSound).

.... makes no sense at all... so let's wait for the answers to my questions Smile

Indeed!

The settings.xml file was very useful. You indeed enabled session management. Can you share your default_session files? They are in ~/.openMSX/sessions/default_session
This is loaded when you start up now, so that must be causing the crash (I guess!). So I'm very interested in this whole folder Smile

Sure, mail address is in the profile (I guess you can read through the spam protection).

OK, I can reproduce the crash by loading one of the 2 savestates in the session folder (machine2.oms). So for now, you can workaround the issue by moving that file out of the way. We'll investigate the issue.

See https://github.com/openMSX/openMSX/issues/980

EDIT: Oh, I noticed that the machine3.oms has the same issue...

Crash is fixed. Root cause of wrong value in savestate is still a mystery.
