Hello,

I have recently uninstalled openMSX (Windows 10). I was using the MegaFLASHROM SCC+ SD extension, so i saved the megaflasromsccplussd.sram, SDcard1.sdc & SDcard2.sdc files for late use (i wanted a clean install and later recover my work) .

Today i was reinstalling openMSX again, restored my previously saved "megaflasromsccplussd.sram, SDcard1.sdc & SDcard2.sdc" and now every time i start openMSX the emulator is performing a hash calculation for each SDcard file i have (4GB each).

The emulator is taking ages only to start...

Any way to disable that hash calculation? And anyway. Why is performing that calculation at all? I want to know so other time i don't screw things again.

Thanks.

q: do you ever use the reverse function?
a: no? then type this in the console: set auto_enable_reverse off

no more hash calculations

It worked! Thanks Vampier. It was not a logical assumption so i was getting crazy figuring it out.

Cheers.

yeah.. I am part of the openMSX team and I have 2 different setups 1) with reverse (using catapult etc) and 2) a special batch script that calls openMSX without reverse and sets it up as my real MSX computer

The question is: why didn't the get the hash calculations before?

the only reasons are 1) very old openMSX version 2) reverse disabled 3) never had a big hard disk (under 100mb)
