I have a problem with those roms, I download the roms at its official git but openmsx doesnt recognize those roms, and I don´t know how to convert it to openmsx format nor have a tool to extract from real hardware, any solution about this issue?

The question is which version was used when the extension was created and which versions are now online. You can simply try to replace the sha1sum in Carnivore2.xml with the one of your downloaded ROM.

The Carnivore2 emulation requires the OpenMSX build 200 or later and the 2 files: carnivore2.xml and carnivore2.rom. The ROM file contains the image of the initialized cartridge's FlashROM chip with the current versions of all 3 ROMs. This image with ROMs is used to boot the cartridge so that newer separate ROMs from the repository could be updated later with the C2MAN utility.

The XML file is of course included with openMSX.

Alexey, where can one download the required ROM file?

Wouter shared it with me. You can download it here:

http://podrezov.com/carnivore2/openmsx/carnivore2.rom

Please include it with the default installation of OpenMSX.

That we can only do if the copyright situation of that code is fully clear. Ideally including source code.

As far as I know we got all necessary permissions to produce the cartridges. This is thanks to Javi Lavandeira. The FMPAC BIOS was reworked by Max Iwamoto, so this can be considered as his own version. There were no objections either from him or from Konamiman, who made the Nextor ROM. The original copyright owner for FMPAC BIOS could not be contacted so far, but I doubt that they still care about the usage of their code in a free emulator.

Thank you very much Alexey for the file, and thank you everyone else for your prompt responses

Unfortunately 'doubt they still care' is sufficient for open source projects that stick to the clearly legal side of the license.

Well, then we can publish this ROM file without the FMPAC BIOS. This way users will have to update it manually, using the C2MAN utility and the file from our repository.

I put the XML and the ROM files into our Carnivore2 repository:
