My understanding, to load Disk Basic on a SVI-3x8, you need to load it from disk by having the special Disk Basic disk in the drive when you turn it on. I found a IMD/DSK file for it, and converted it with DiskManip to DMK, but nothing happens when I try to boot with it.

Get openMSX source from git and compile

Contrib/dmk/svi2dmk.cc

then:

svi2dmk file.dsk file.dmk

Yeah, as the sizes are all 172032 bytes or 346112 bytes for these SVI-3x8 disks, I suppose svi2dmk can all convert them to usable DMK files for the superexpanded SVI-328 in openMSX. openMSX supports (at least that seems to be the intention of the code, please test it out!) 2 double sided drives.

What I do know is that the disk format of the SVI-3x8 disk BASIC disk (for which svi2dmk is made) is different than the SVI-707 format:
- 1st track (track 0, side 0) contains 18 sectors of 128 bytes.
- All other tracks contain 17 sectors of 256 bytes.
- There are 40 tracks on the disk.
- The disk can be either single or double sided.

So, I do wonder if these disks also work on the SVI-707.
