Sorry for the stupid question, but I cannot get the mouse to work for Symbos on OpenMSX. I run

plug joyporta mouse

but nothing happens. Guess I'm missing something obvious?

It should work... Remember to plug the mouse before you load SymbOS.

Its the trackpad built into the computer... So I cannot unplug it Wink But yeah it catches the mouse in the window but it does not move...

Should the trackpad behave like a standard MSX mouse?

Shouldn't it? It's the way we move the pointer on the PC; is there a reason why it shouldn't be the pointer on the emulation?

Are you saying plugging in an actual mouse will fix it? I don't have any PC mice; only MSX mice... I haven't used a mouse on a PC since ehm... 2003 or something when I started using only laptops...

@slowerisbetter

I think that NYYRIKKI meant the "plug" command.

And yes, the trackpad is used to emulate the mouse on openMSX without issues.

Yeah that's what I figured, but it doesn't work for me; Symbos, Ease etc don't work; the mouse pointer is not moving one inch...

Really wondering what is wrong Sad

Sorry, mixed real hardware with emulated one Big smile Seems that there is a problem with the emulators' mouse settings?

I think it must be; I checked under OSX and linux; same behavior , or rather, non-behavior Wink But at least that means I am doing something stupid.

Anyway; i'm working on a small application in Symbos as test; I'm working on a real MSX , but when 'on the road' I use a Pandora but the mouse doesn't work; I tried now ; Pandora (Linux), Mac OS X and Ubuntu Linux on different computers; the mouse works on none of them. So what am I doing wrong Sad

I do

plug joyporta mouse
set grabinput on

It does grab the mouse but the pointer doesn't move...
