To get the correct complete file, download the ZIP file under the green button.

I didn't see the ZIP file, but I found compiled BlueMSX.exe from Sep 25 2019.

The only emulator that emulates that is the unreleased version of blueMSX, often called version 2.9.0.

You must choose the Direct3D display driver to be able to choose a specific aspect ratio (Auto, Stretch, NTSC, PAL, 1:1). Several cropping types are also available.

Emulicious have many options to handle aspect ratio.
Before reading this thread I was wondering why but now it make sens. ^^

Yes, but Emulicious is limited to MSX1, so blueMSX 2.9.0 is better, as you can use its options also on MSX2 and higher.

I must add that there are 5 croping types : MSX1 - MSX1 + 8 - MSX2 - MSX2 + 8 - Custom (with 4 sliders for Left - Right - Top - Bottom).

On any front page of a Github project, there's a green button "Code". When you click on it, you have access to several options, the last one is the ZIP file including all the files of the project.

I recommend this way because my experience (on Windows with Chrome) does not provide the complete exe file when I try to directly download it.

But if you have downloaded something other than a small file, it's probably good.

I found the ZIP file as well when I used a laptop instead of a cell phone. But now I have a different issue.
I copied BlueMSX.exe into 2.8.3 that I am using. But when you start it, it asks for d3dx9_35.dll...

I downloaded the DLL and now it crashes on start...

I am using windows 11 Pro and version 2.8.3 works like a dream.

---

EDIT: I tried to do a full install of 2.8.2 and run 2.9.0 from the same directory. Same result, asks for DX DLL and crashes on start...

Difficult to answer .... I am still under Windows 8 and it works for me.

The complete file is 4257kB.

Maybe you need to install more D3D files.

Also I hope your blueMSX is not installed in Program Files, it could be a problem too (linked to permissions).

I have both in Program files and not in Program files. Same result.

The file I have is also 4257kB.

I also have a laptop with Windows 7 Pro. Will try it as well.

The Japanese version produced the same results... After spending another 30 min with it, I realized where the issue is. BlueMSX is 32-bit program, not 64 bit!!! So I download d3dx9_35.dll 32-bit version and all works great!

Thank you again for all the help.
