You're wrong, Poke...

There is an MSX1 new model coming next year, by ASCII. Big smile

Actually, it's an MSX 1½ with the hopes of upgrading it to a full MSX 2 later when the VHDL code has been written for it.

Yeah, but I think he wants to fit it in a joystick... Sure, it could be done, but for me the MSX system is much more than a games-console tho...

Nope,I don't wanna fit it into a joystick...it should have good looks too.
Who cares about some dull 19" rack, only fun for the geeks and users.
What would be the purpose of having such a small msx if
you won't put it into a fancy case? I mean y'all have msx2+ and 2 and turbo r and god knows what, who gives a shit about an msx1,5 then?
Just a hobby thing or anything serious, this?
Is it aimed for hardcore msx users or u think it could be used to appease the gamesconsole market as well? I mean an x-box is a gamesconsole too,but not just that...it's OS been hacked and you can use it as a pretty good pc
I just wonder,if it's only for putting an outdated msx1,5 board into a 19" rack,then what's the fun?
Perhaps there are a hell of a lot more people who could actually enjoy it as a cool retro homecomputer,in a sexy case ...look at the zemmix consoles and see what I mean?

that'll be the perfect case for the 1cm .. highly modular and re-usable, if you ask me :)

That's the best solution so far. LOL

Maybe we should start our own MSX1.5-in-a-box-design-contest.

Who can make the coolest machine. Who has the best idea/design...

My thoughts to start with:
MSX in a video tape
MSX in a free CD-bay of your PC
MSX in an old c64 case :-)

or some own design made with thermoforming/ vacuumforming (see e.g. http://www.build-stuff.com/1001plans.htm )

MSX in an old c64 case :-)

Doesn't that go against nature ? It's like transplanting a pinguin brain into a baboon...

Well that's great if you like pinguins better than baboons! :-)

This thermoforming / vacuumforming process might also be interesting to build housings for other hardware projects. It's affordable for small series.
