The SCC chip has 5 sound channels, right?
Yes.
Is there some way to alter the SCC code to adjust the volume levels of these channels individually rather than adjusting the overall volume level of the SCC?
The level of each of the five channels can be set independently of the four bit code level recorded in the registers for each channel. I see no reason to adjust the levels manually, as this is not provided for in the design of the chip SCC.
The thing is that it seems like one of the sound channels it being output at the wrong volume as when I watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUL8rkAO3qg
Some of the notes appear to be at different volume levels. This is my only reference for audio off a real MSX (this is recorded off a Sony F1-XV). I'm not sure if it's an imperfection of the FPGA simulation of the SCC chip or one of the sound channels being output at too low a volume level.
Yep, thanks! The actual flow of improvement of 1chipMSX is started with the ZEXALL compliancy of CPU.
Now I think that the priority of my todo list is to improving the compatibilty of VDP and not other.
Step by step we will come to perfection... or at least I think!!!
Actually, I think VDP is the absolute main priority I still use the 2.3 update... it's for me the best one and I can enjoy also the Playsoniq
Thanks for your great work. Actully I don't care about 2+ if 2 is not complete... ^-^
like+1 to your opinion, thx!
Does this look like that Zemmix Neo ?
Is the latest OCM pack from kdl available for download somewhere ?
Hi Philip, the ocm-pld pack v3.2 final will be ready in next weeks.
No Beta or RC will be release again for it. Pls, be patients, thx!!!
Yep, my Zemmix Neo:
- The same hardware of OCM (Altera Cyclone I) inside of an alluminium rock box.
- With a look very impressive that remembers me the Grendizer UFO Robot.
- The hilarious MSX-SP (MSX Superman Pantsu).
Actually Zemmix Neo is not exactly same as OCM.
1. Has scanline generator function inside with VGA High mode. (DIP 2,3 ON)
2. USB Keyboard function on USB port 2. (Just direct connection with PS/2. Cause it is not compatible with HID keyboard)
Anyways, Thanks KdL
Hello Kdl,
I have tried this

MSX4ever.

Ehm, Yes! For the precision I mean the same hardware, the Cyclone.
But not the same firmware (PLD) that in default configuration have differences.

MSX4ever.
I'm sorry. I've changed the BIOSes again... All them will be ready with OCM-PLD Pack v3.2
I repeat, be patients, the website will remain in stand-by for a few weeks...
Kind Regards! :D
Additional info: The Zemmix Neo have an analog luminance regulator that help to setup the scanline on your monitor! Very nice function.
RGB LUMINANCE REGULATOR:
A minor difference: all the LEDs are red (not red and green like OCM); the power is LED9 but in OCM is LED0. The OCM-PLD v3.x have a soft-regulator with a different luminance for the two colors. The luminance of LED9 is poor in Zemmix Neo but I have no idea if was their choice. A fix to get the same luminance will be possible...
