many thx caro!
all files are restored now! thx @all
I think the wave: out std_logic_vector( 9 downto 0 )
is the big issue here as I don't have this. I have wave: out std_logic_vector( 7 downto 0 )
like the real 1ChipMSX.
This is a mistake, as the summation of the three eight-bit channels result may not be as eight-bit. Otherwise the signals from less than four levels are equal to 0.
..cof! ..cof! ..cof!
Bad news:
The new Quartus II v13.1 declines the end of support to Cyclone I & II family.
The last good was the Quartus II v13.0sp1 Subscription Edition.
Hi,
First I like to thank to caro, KdL, HRA! and everyone involved in this great project!
I have a question about file "KEYMAP.VHD". I want to use my new MSX with a Brazilian ABNT2 keyboard (standard Brazilian keyboards).
I've found a suitable MSX2+ BIOS and it's working, but I still have to change the file "KEYMAP.VHD". Can someone please explain me, or point me some documentation how to "KEYMAP.VHD" works?
Thank you so much!
Happy new Year to all Fpga users!!!
-What is the best way to replace msx dos to nextor?
-Is pssible add to Fpga code the Master system chips to use the like Franky cardige?
-Why don't work mglocm on the De1? this loader was designed for load roms on OCM.
Thanks
is it possible to boot altera de1 with latest caro firmware and msx1 bios? i'm trying to run some programs/games, but no luck with msx2 or msx2+ bios (the game Hundra on disk is an example.. after splash screen the game freezes during load). maybe some retrocompatibility issue? Obs: the very same game works ok on openmsx with fs-a1wsx machine selected.
i've tried to create a new bios with gradiente ddplus like this:
65.536 (00-07) (DISKBASIC) OCM-MEGASCSI.ROM 32.768 (08-11) (MAIN-ROM) (Expert-DDPlus) Expert-DDPlus-Basic-Bios.ROM 16.384 (12-13) (EXT-ROM) (FS-A1WSX) (MOD_$2C8D) MSX2PEXT.ROM 16.384 (14-15) (SUB-ROM) (FS-A1WSX) MSX2PMUS.ROM 131.072 (16-31) (KANJIDATA) OCM-KANJI-128KB.ROM 8.192 (32) (SLOT0-1) ($0000-$1FFF) FREE.ROM 8.192 (33) (SLOT0-1) ($2000-$3FFF) FREE.ROM 32.768 (34-37) (SLOT0-1) ($4000-$BFFF) MSXKANJI.ROM 8.192 (38) (SLOT0-1) ($C000-$DFFF) FREE.ROM 8.192 (39) (SLOT0-1) ($E000-$FFFF) FREE.ROM 8.192 (40) (SLOT0-3) ($0000-$1FFF) FREE.ROM 8.192 (41) (SLOT0-3) ($2000-$3FFF) FREE.ROM 16.384 (42-43) (SLOT0-3) ($4000-$7FFF) XBASIC2.ROM 8.192 (44) (SLOT0-3) ($8000-$9FFF) FREE.ROM 8.192 (45) (SLOT0-3) ($A000-$BFFF) FREE.ROM 8.192 (46) (SLOT0-3) ($C000-$DFFF) FREE.ROM 8.192 (47) (SLOT0-3) ($E000-$FFFF) FREE.ROM
the screen shows ok, but freezes there... no disk basic is acessible...
if i press SHIFT, i can go to basic perfectly though...

Hi!
- you can try with MegaFlashRomSCC cart
- no, the Master System VDP is too big!
- mglocm works with ocm-pld pack only because actually caro do not use my extensions & source code

the internal slot layout is intended for MSX2+ and the expanded slots are mapped... mmh? I think is not possible without a modified BIOS!
well, the bios used was msx2bios.rom released by caro:
md5 msx2bios.rom MD5 (msx2bios.rom) = 31b91a5a0b4668da78aa36201d42c003
all i've done is overwrite the data with this bios:
md5 expert_ddplus_basic-bios1.rom MD5 (expert_ddplus_basic-bios1.rom) = d13c1fc9ad4897c322f51aab3ad3b30d
and yes, this really happen: after turning on i press SHIFT on boot gradiente 1.1br screen (normally used to bypass diskbasic) and... tadaaa! i'm on basic...
i really couldn't tell if this msx2bios.rom is modified besides the mod $2C $8D, but i can send you the bios if you want to try...
