Arkanoid 2 came with a paddle and Konami had a special controller for their sport games. There's also a lightgun available.

IIRC there are also non-official controllers like a drumcomputer or dancemat as controller.

What makes that yanjen joypad unusual, except that vertical placing of buttons? Does it have some unusual game controlling method?

The yanjen dont have any mobile parts, works only with touch.
