I've just seen this video... is it a bug at 2:40, or you just can't make more than 4 blocks disappear?

What would happen if a * enters in the middle of this situation?

you can make 10 blocks disappear, wich results in lots of points and in a sample saying "THE ROOOOOCHA COMBO", it's one of the secret features of the game.
