I discovered a warp to a secret stage in 5th stage of Fantasm Soldier Valis. Does anyone knows what's it for?

Stage 4 also has a secret stage.
It's very similar to the one in stage 5.

AFAIK those secret stages are pretty useless.
You can find some items there but they're not anything unique in the game (invincibility and destroy all enemies on screen).

Don't know about any more warps other than the ones in stage 4 and 5.

Look here:

The very last password brings you in stage 5 with the warp very near.

EDIT: I checked, and warp doesn't seem to depend on weapon, player level etc.
It's always there.

When you get in that warp stage, go all the way left, then down, lower right, and you'll see two of the all-white statues of hooded cape guys (like you see in the beginning of the secret stage).
Jump up when standing in front of the left one and you're back in stage 5.

By the way, concerning passwords, this is what I found out from an old game hint, and discovered the weapon-bit myself:

5 W S 4 0 2 1 L L 0

W = weapon (from 0 to 6)
S = stage (from 0 to 5)
L L = level (0 to 99 backward notation)

Bumping old thread, sorry,
Stage 3 has a secret stage, too.

where?
Hard to say. Honestly I still don't understand how the game stores and deals with its game maps.
The warps seem to be in fixed places though, the one in stage 5 is easy to find once you know where it is, but in a stage like #3 there are hardly reference points to orientate where you are.
