Don´t panic, cesco! Smile

Another world is actually quite boring game after a while (completed it´s Amiga version in the nineties...)

But of course everything is a matter of taste.... Smile

But some sort of a wire-frame platform game could be nice to see on MSX! Smile Some (slow) mix of Penguin Adventure and crash bandicoot.... Smile

Or something like that you are in space, and only platforms are stars which work like 3D stepping stones, (everything is viewed behind player) and you have to jump from star to star, a bit like Gremlin Graphics´ "Trailblazer" thing, but lesser platforms to land on after jump, just stars which get closer when jumping, maybe screen could be scrolled diagonally too, not just towards player? to speed up game, monsters could maybe be sprites? Maybe player could be sprite too. Smile As less wireframe things to move, less cpu speed loss, just keeping game simple and fast enough. Smile This is not an existing game, I am just descripting my game ideas.... Smile

Well MäSäXi, talking about easy and fun 3D, check out this game:

An absolutely brilliant game, great music and gameplay. I remember thinking that the space tunnel never gets enough difficult to match the "simon" stage....; but I like it as is, a remake could bring maybe more color, nothing feally fancy. Also I cannot think of this game with another OST, I've too fond memories Smile

That's so true!
The music is timeless. Smile
The most "fancy" thing we could do is re-record it with real instruments.

BTW: Imagine playing it on the Wii MSX emulator and hitting the gongs with the controller (which will, ofcourse then vibrate)! Big smile

There´s one game genre which is completely non-existent in MSX-DEVs.

Children´s games! Big smile

It´s a fact that many of us have children, I have 2 year old son, and I would like to teach him to play MSX games, when he gets bit older to understand controls. Smile

Problem is, that most old games are just too hard for little children.... there are some children games for MSX, but I guess many of them are very hard/impossible to find nowadays..... and I think some of them are still NOT listed on generation-msx yet...

I hope someone(s) could do easy-to-play games which have colourful graphics with big nice looking characters, which can be identified easily, I mean, cat look like a cat and not just hard-to-clearly-identify-what-it-may-be-sprite-garbage.

I think software sprites could be used to make BIG nicely animated characters.

Also games could have BIG alphabets and numbers for easy reading/learning. Smile

Maybe some funny connect-right-pieces-to-right-places game, which have 3 characters standing, let´s say penguin, cat, child, and computer scrambles their heads, bodies and legs to wrong characters, like penguin has girl´s head, girl has cat´s legs, cat has girl´s skirt etc.... Tongue

And nice simple non-stop musical score to the background + nice fanfares when child connects right pieces to right places.

Imagination is only limit to produce nice children´s games. Smile

I have monkey academy, so there´s no need for monkey academy 2! Tongue
(Okay, sorry, who am I saying there´s no need for Monkey Academy 2!! Please do it, as long as it´s different!!Smile)

During years, there has been some talk about what happens when we, the original msx generation, get too old, now it´s good time to start doing something for it.... Smile like programming nice and enjoyable games for little children to encourage them to play with MSX. Smile

There's this Topografie series (the helicopter game) which was greatly improving my knowledge of topography in the '80s. It's Dutch only however, so perhaps somebody could make a translation?
