The cartridge has, apart from the game itself, a flashrom which -I guess- is essential. I'm not sure how/if that flashrom can be emulated and if it *is* emulated at all. Above all, I just don't think the developer as well as the publisher would like .rom files to circulate around the globe.. payed or not. Hannibal

But in just in case, you may want to contact sunrise, tho I don't expect his answer will be much different from mine..

Does the msx game reader work?
It was a PC cartridge adapter based on USB
Is it supported by the "open" emulators ?
Can it be used with new flash cartridges?

I believe the reason for not distributing ROM is commercial, not technical - see this picture.

Manbow2 is fully emulated in blueMSX inlcuding savegames and I think also in openMSX (not sure if it is part of latest release though)

Dear oeioei and great dvik: ok, how can you say that? Have you tried manbow2 with blue?? Yuk Yuk!! How did you get it? I want'it!!! Please!! My wife absolutely doesn't want one more computer in the dining room!! So i can't buy a real MSX and buy manbow2 on cartridges!!!
Please..
Ehm, dvik: what about your implementation of Ghost&Goblins on msx?? Are you going to transport some of the best game of ever available in other platforms (as C64, Nes etc. etc.) or from coinup on MSX??
Uhm, i think MetalSlug could be just a little bit impossible, but what about others like superhang-on, gouls&ghost etc etc?? We know you can do it!!!

Best regards

since i have the original manbow2 i tried the romfile only once in bluemsx and then the saving part didnt work (could be some misconfiguration on my part, i never looked into it)

on how to get manbow2 i suggest ordering it at sunrise (i think that a second batch wil be made) and then make a dump yourself
That would be the nicest and honest way to get it

I own a legitimate and genuine MB2 cartridge,
What is teh tool for dumping the rom ?
I would load it -for personal use only- in bluemsx

OeiOeiVogeltje, you need to manually select the Manbow2 mapper. I think by default the game is detected as a regular Konami SCC game. At least it worked when I tested it. The same mapper is btw used for the Lotus F3 game.

It is emulated in openMSX indeed, including the savegame part, but it indeed just missed the 0.6.3 release. So, it will be in next release or in any snapshot after 0.6.3.
