I think that screenshot is from the Zemmix/Zemina version
Nope, the Zemmix version has no copyright statement at all.
On the original Konami cart you can see this:
I have checked my copy for this and you're right.
It says (c) OAA on the cartridge and it is also stated on the box.
Didn't noticed it before...
I guess OAA, whatever it stands for, develloped the game and Konami published it.
No, Cabbage Patch Kids is from 'Original Appalachian Artworks Inc. (OAA)' (see here). Google is your friend :)
it's basically athletic land isn't it ? so why release it twice ?
My guess is that OAA Inc. makes a serie of toys called Cabbage Patch Kids and it associated with Konami to create a game with the characters.
Konami shamelessly used code from Athletic Land.
Leandro: exactly what I think is the case as well
Okay, that would explain it.
I was a bit scared that OAA made the game (in 1983), and that Konami bought it, changed it to Athletic land (RC700 - 1984), and later published the original too (RC716 - 1984)
But that probebly isn't the case, looking at the Cabbage Patch Kids site, and reading Leandro's and manuel's reactions.
BTW, there´s a Cabbage Patch Kids for the Colecovision. Did Konami do it?
there might be one for the atari as well... I remember having seen the cabage patch kids game
at a friends house on a non msx console
