Uninstalled both 32 and 64 bit packages, reinstalled the 64 bit package, and: no effect!

EDIT : if this don't work, i think you also need the MSXML package from microsoft in order to use .XML dependencies.

Thanks for popolon, I've finally the sound with the PC88 files !!!

So, I confirm wolf_ conclusion : an old version can be better !
I've encountered also this kind of problem with a WordPress plugin : new versions are buggy, some old versions are perfectly working !!!

Btw, PC88 music is excellent, MSX should have the YM2203 chip !!!

All is a question of configuration and to find the correct runtime libraries of windows, i think.
I'm using the latest Hoot version (20111231) and it's working like a charm, the sound driver emulation is even better than with the older ones

Oh, and if you like OPN(YM2203) soundtracks, try some OPNA (YM2608 from PC88VA/PC98), it's even better with much voices.
