I'm looking for the MGF (MSX gebruikersgroep Friesland) Diskmagazines.
I have made a demo for one of these disks but my copies didn't made it thru the time....Crying
Is there anyone who still have the originals or any .dsk's ? (that must be legal by now ?)

thanks !

Would be cool to have those online somewhere, if permission would be no problem.

I could ask Jan van Valburg, he was the programmer of the magazines (at least most of them)
But I bet he doesn't mind!

Still haven't found anyone that has them lying around somewhere...
I've asked Martin and Janny, but they sold everything, including the disks...

I still hope that the're someone around that can help me finding these disks, I'm really looking forward to bring up some old memories!

My real name is Frank Wijnsma.
I think I do know you, you where one of the Element guys?

I used to live in Warfstermolen where Jan's dad lives, we where neighbours.
We used to spend loads of time playing games on MSX and later me sitting there being bored while Jan was programing on Gianna Sisters, Retaliator, Bubbles, Shrines of Enigma and most of all the MGF magazines (I made one demo for it... well I didn't even think it was finised, but Jan placed it on the disk-magazie anyway.. it was called : First.. it was a scroll demo)
I can remember that there where even some MGF meetings in Warfstermolen, I was at them a couple of times and visited Martin and Janny aswell back then.
Most names I forgot since I was a bit younger than the rest (I'm 3 years younger than Jan who was 18 when he moved to the UK).

Jan doesn't have anything left from his MSX time, he sold everything aswell just after he moved to Manchester (later he bought a TurboR-ST again, but just as a gadget, he didn't use it in years...)

nice dig in history Smile
I don't recall your name, sorry.
No, I wasn't any part of Team Element. I knew Jan and the others very well. Hans Cnossen especially. I met Jan when he was living in Leeuwarden. Used to do some MGF stuff but mostly annoy everyone, just as I do on this board, with funny comments and drinking their stash of beer and coffee. MGF meetings were more to say hello to everyone than it actually was a meeting (for me it was). Helped Jan with some stuff and did some GFX for him. I remember the Jinx logo for example.

Funny guy but a bit too arrogant for my taste.. oh, well.
Last thing I heard was he was moving to the UK and became a game programmer.
