I had (on a disc) an arrangement/remix of Space Manbow level 1 music. It was written in basic (mml?) and it used fmpac and I think psg as well. If I recall correctly it originated from a Japanese MSX magazine, but I had it on some music disc/warez stuff, probably someone took the time to manually type the basic listing from the magazine.

Well I know this one should be SOMEWHERE in the archives of various msx download sites, but can anyone tell me where to look? (name etc?)

I remember it was the best thing I ever heared on the MSX/fmpac and I had a tape on my walkman with that song looped for 45 minutes (1 side of a tape!!) because I loved it so much.

So if someone can help me locate this it would be cool, whether its dsk image or actual mp3 Smile

Mmmmh.. that's the best basic song I have ever heard!!

But listening to this song looped for 45 minutes is only for the skilled die hard fan.. I would mentally loop.. that's for sure!!

thanks! though I have a problem now, I have no clue how to get the listing in blueMSX without me having to manually type it. Any help? I'll make a mp3 of it if I can get it to work.

This is how I did it:

Create a new directory
Create a new file in that new directory with notepad. Call it spmanbow.bas or something like that
Copy the basiclisting from this page to that file
Save the file
Start Bluemsx
Choose file->Disk Drive A->Insert Directory, and select the directory where you placed the textfile
Start the emulation. You should go to basic. Now type load "spmanbow.bas"
The file will be loaded, and now you can typ run
Enjoy

That's what I like about OpenMSX: you can simply paste copied text into the program and the MSX will type it. Slow as hell, but still.

Idea for a feature upgrade in the next BlueMSX version?
