Just wanted to tell, that my 2,5 year old son just killed his first orange worm in Maze Of Galious!! Tongue Without any help, of course! Smile

Also, just a moment later, he invented Maze Of Galious light synthesizer!!!! How?

Easy! On top of my old television set there is an electric christmas chandelier (which has still white light, non-flashy) my boy just turned television volume to maximum while playing Maze Of Galious, and that chandelier started flash synchonized with Maze Of Galious music!!!! LOL!LOL!LOL!LOL!LOL!LOL!LOL!LOL!

Of course I soon turned volume down to protect our ears Tongue but it looked and sounded really cool as long as it lasted!!!!!!!!!! LOL! Tongue

You are free to try it, I won´t look for patent. (Maybe I should?Tongue)

I used my favorite melody from Quarth as a lullaby for my daughter.
Either I used a KSS replayer or just sang it myself.
In comparison to other regular lullabies it worked better.

Haha, looks wonderfull to see your own children play MSX games you did yourself. My daughter of 4 plays Vampire Killer and Dragon Slayer 4. Childeren at that age give those games their own names.. For Vampire Killer it is something like 'the man with the stick' instead of the original name...

@Cax: yeah, those little ones like the 'simple' PSG melodies!!

Of course my boy don´t know too much yet what he is doing, I showed him what keys he´ll have to press and what happens when he presses them, but of course it´s a hard game for two and half year little boy. Smile I helped him to get down the ladders, as of course he wants to go to other directions too than just up or down while climbing ladders. Wink But that orange worm he slayed by himself, without help! Smile

Must say that Circus Charlie is hellishly HARD "children´s" game!!!!! Plot and graphics and musics are nicely done for children, but nobody at Konami really gave any thought about can children actually play their game or not......

Commodore 64 conversion has difficulty selection, there´s EASY and HARD. Hard one is the same as MSX one...... one can understand now that Circus Charlie as children´s game is spoiled with hard difficulty.... Commodore 64 Comic Bakery also has difficulty selection.... it´s a shame that Konami didn´t put such thing to it´s MSX children games..........

I used my favorite melody from Quarth as a lullaby for my daughter.

I used to sing the first stage from Valis The Fantasm Soldier, the ending tune of Golvellius and the intro tune of Zaider Battle of Peguss. Wink

Childeren at that age give those games their own names.. For Vampire Killer it is something like 'the man with the stick' instead of the original name...

My son gives the following names:

Game of the car that crashes - Road Fighter
Game of the car that does oo-oo - F1-Spirit
Game of the car with a fan - Coaster Race
Game of jump - Magical Tree
Game of the girl called Sofia - Sofia
Game of the VW Bug - ChoroQ

Oh, and BTW, my son likes to sleep with me telling him the story about a princess called Rena that went to search for a herb to heal her sick father, until she was imprisoned by an evil monster called Golvellius and a brave boy called Kelesys went to help her. Wink

About child names for games... two years ago I bought Gradius V for PS2 in Japan, and it seems that my 10 years old nephew liked it... he always asked for the "Hikooki no geemu" (japanese for "the game of the plane" ) Tongue

I have forgot to post this, but here I go now: Smile

In this spring I was playing Zemina´s WARP & WARP on my MSX with my not yet three year old boy, everytime we entered that warp and arrived to that "bomb zone", my son always started to call the hero as

PISSIVAIPPA !

Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

(trasnlation: PEE DIAPER !) Tongue

He meant that the hero has peed into his diapers! Tongue Tongue

Well, as I looked closely the hero really looked bit like he´s wearing diapers! Tongue

My daughter (4, almost 5) loves my Music Module keyboard. She shouts things like mama (mum), Pieter (name of her (female) rabbit) and Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) into the microphone and then plays that word over and over again on the keyboard. She loves it. We even made our own little song on the moonsound. Well, I made it, my daughter was sitting next to me telling me what to do. Tongue
