Is there any "charitable soul" interested to make a player (or adapt an existing one) to play .mid on the MSX files through this great piece of HW and avoid to use the PC for this? CryingCryingCrying
Yes, I asked WORP3 before, it's possible but unfortunately he's very busy now. Thank you in advance!

I will supply the necessary information to use the MIDI-PAC as a MIDI out device. It's even possible to use the MIDI-PAC timer to get a more stable timing.

Correct me if I'm wrong but making a MIDI replayer for MIDI Pac shouldn't be such a problem. Again, Im not a programmer so correct me if I'm wrong. I even think such a program already exists for "ye old trusty" Music Module.

@Robert Vroemisse: You are right, there are several midi file players for the msx. The problem is that the programmers seemed the be lost in space !
It will probably take less time to write your own midi player then it will take in trying to modify an existing program.

Will it then technically be possible to play MID files with more than six channels through MIDI-PAC?

Sure it will, the MIDI-PAC will only function as a luxurious MIDI out device, the channel layout will be determined by the MIDI file.

I want that Big smile And a proper software to make tunes with the MSX that way! LOL!

And.. anyway, could I add Midi-Out support to my MSXSynth software? I have the MIDI-PAC so I could really test it!

Mine. A kind of beta is at my web: paxangasoft.cjb.net
Btw... i'm silly xD My soft needs MIDI-In interfaces (like MM, which already works), not MIDI-Out. Running Naked in a Field of Flowers

But it would be useful for some software that works the other way. Generating notes on the MSX and play on external devices.
