Check this out: http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/matikanejinndaiko/archive/2007/7/4

AFAIK this is an MSX1 game, but the box says MSX2?? The Japanese text seems to tell something about this, but I can't really understand it... Also what is under that MSX2 logo on the backside of the box??

Can someone help to find out??

Then I would have expected the box to mention both "MSX" and "MSX2", like all other games that support this...

I have downloaded it from "a certain site" but can't get it to work in Open MSX somehow.

well just because is SC2 doesn't mean MSX1. What if it uses upper 16K VRAM for patterns, sprites, whatever ?

but the game is a MSX1 as it runs on meisei.

Under the MSX2 logo, it perhaps says "MSX1 nimo taiou". It means "MSX1 also supported".
(Cannot to read clearly from this photo... )

This blog says nothing about MSX2 logo.

umaiboux: thanks for your response! Any idea why they just put MSX2 on it? The game is fully screen 2....

I had the idea the blog said something about: MSX1 wasn't very popular anymore in 1989, so they just put MSX2 on it to fit the trend of MSX2's popularity. But that's what I could derive from Google Translate, so I have no idea whether it's anywhere near what is meant.

Also, I love the tune of it Smile
