I always felt MSX needed a good virus Makes it look more important
Viruses on MSX? Aaaaargh! This can´t be!
I´ll take care of my probably-infected MSX2.
mmmmmm, i remember on a comp institute, on PC world (off topic), than they buy PC with one virus infected store inside of the BIOS ROM... (pc more cheaper) ofcourse, all 286 only with floppy driver), than damage one of my disk...... grrrrrr... mess up the FAT.... GWBASIC times...
It seems, that TCAV is dissappeared
FYI: If you need to use unzapp, delete all backup copy of viruses right after unzapp (*.inf), execute CHKDSK /F and delete *.CHK from root directory. This is ugly way, but it works.
NYYRIKKI, I have TCAV on my HD. Are you still in search of this util? I can send you the tool (without the virus ) Sorry, I haven't seen your request earlier.
That would be great, please do so...

Well guys, let's face it: it is the existence of viruses that distinguishes the platforms — the "mere" 8-bits from the "real" computers. One that can't reasonably support a virus just can't be taken seriously enough. And it is also a sign of survival level of a platform — I haven't even heard of an antivirus program for an Amiga for years (not to mention Atari ST). I even tried to write a virus for a Sam Coupé, in the Sam Basic, which was just ideal for such a thing, it had a command which could write and execute program lines but I didn't have enough time to finish the project... (Am I too twisted?)
Well.. There was another, unreleased, MSX-Virus
The FAF (Federation Against FAC) made a boot-sector virus, which, after the reset of an MSX, would only allow you to type "FUCK FACK", no matter which keys you pressed.
Every floppy-disk insterted that would be accessed in some way, would be scanned to see of sector 0 was a standard boot-sector or not.
If it was a standard boot-sector, it would write the virus to the bootsectror. Disks with a special bootloader or so would not be infected this way.
Never released it though
LOL @ FUCK FACK
btw:im glad i never had a virus myself
