There's probably some randomized system in it to cloak its exact contents. I want to find out what the contents of that number is and how it's generated.

Cax: I noticed this number years ago already and before I got the japanese manual (and the knowledge to read a tiny little bit of Japanese, as in recognizing the katakana characters) I was able to get this far with the info I just provided.

At least the ranking-ish makes sense... When you 'cheat' with e.g. Maze of Galious or Twin Bee or Q-Bert, the code disappears, so Mr. Cheater wouldn't rank endlessly high in the list Smile

Besides, it probably is encrypted a bit so that Konami could easily filter out fake entries.

Those are things I'm going to find out unraveling that number.

Tanks to ricbit, I've just received the translation of that part of the manual.

I'll quote from his e-mail:

"It seems to be a checksum of the score, to select which prizes would be offered."

heheh, I was doing the same thing. Smile

Having that whole translation twice is overkill, so I removed that from my post.

Noticing the 3rd point of the full instructions, I'd say there's another Nemesis 2 version roaming the globe which still enables the contest code with the combinations.
