Has anyone ever had this odd problem where you can't hear the drum channel anymore ?
The channel isn't muted, but none of the FM voices will play. Only the psg ones.
It's kind of annoying, since it is somehow saved with the song. opening other
songs will play the channel fine, but loading a tune with the muted channel problem
won't change a thing.

Boy, do I know this issue. Crying

It happens when you have played a 9-channel FM-PAC song and then load a tune with 6 channels + drums.

AFAIK the only things that really help (sometimes) are:

(1) If you load the MB 1.4 replayer again
(2) If you redefine chip settings
(3) If you RESET
(4) If someone'd fix this #$@%

oh dear, now I'll sound incredibly stupid, but ehhh... 6 channels + drums or 9 channels FM ?
how can that be selected ?

Anyway the tips make sense, I'll try em all out Smile But yeah, annoying bug, happened a couple
of times before and accidentially it got solved (no idea what happened).

Well, I suppose you are using MoonBlaster 1.4?

In that case, you can press [CTRL] + [F] to toggle between both modes.

You can use the FM-PAC in two ways:

(1) 6 channels + 5 drum channels
(2) 9 channels, no drums

Both MB 1.4 replayer and program itself appear to be quite buggy regarding the switching between those modes.
What happens is, that re-initialisation of the FM drums is executed incorrectly after returning from (2) to (1).
This error usually affects the "hi-hat" and "cymbal" channels.

As regards point 4 that would be the greatest solution ofcourse.
Crossed my mind that remco putted the source code on the millium cd of mccm.
I will check it out? Volunteers ?

Yup, 1.4 ! I don't think it's in the command list, then again I got the command list from moonblaster wave printed out.
hmmm, wouldn't 1.5 be awesome Smile it's a nice tracker, but there could be a lot of improvements.

and another question regarding drums, I know you can set the frequency of drums (and octaves) for 3 groups of 3.
however, only the first group seems to have an effect if you change them, the rest doesn't. Whats the deal with that ?

You can specify what drum set (or group as you call them) to use in the last column (where you can also place the TR/ENDOP commands). IIRC you can just enter a 'D' + numbers 1 till 3 in that column and the selected row will use that drum set from then on.

BTW, nice and refreshing tune. Very un-FM-Pac-ish, but cool 'n chill none the less Smile
