What are the differences between the Konami and the Compile versions?
None, because there is no Konami version.
If you look at the foto's there is the Compile logo
Are you sure? It says "Konami" and that it's rare.
Hey if it's on the internet it has to be true
More likely the seller put "Konami" in there to attract a larger buyer audience and that's it. No different from other key words that might be used. I bet "MSX" and "MSX Konami" are search terms much more widely used than "Aleste" or "MSX Aleste".
Still, gotta say, that's some cool boxart!

Seriously now, that price?
I bought the game for the equivalent of approx. 30 euro.
And yes, I love the boxart.
Does This cartridge allso has a FM-PAC on board ?
Does This cartridge allso has a FM-PAC on board ?
No, you can hear FM sound only in the following cases :
- you have a MSXturboR or a MSX2+ with build-in FM chip
- you have another MSX2+ or a MSX2 AND the FM-PAC is inserted in one cartridge slot
In these cases, the game selects automatically the FM sound.
In other cases, the game selects automatically the PSG sound.
It's not even complete... It misses the paper plane.
Mine does too. And this Konami version
seems to have a booklet for a manual, while mine only has one sheet with the story, two (pretty cool) drawings, instructions and a sideview depiction of all the areas.
AxelF: in addition to mars2000's reply: there are no MSX game cartridges with FM chips built in.
