Hi SD_Snatcher,
I ask to you to patch Nemesis for MSX2+ or TurboR with smooth scroll like Nemesis2, dynamic color palettes and dynamic Vsync.

The best version of the original rom is the Nemesis with SCC sound of the Konami collection.

My idea is to change the color palette on every level, the colors has chosen from a 3bit RGB.

If you like I can give you the RGB color values of all the palettes.

Paulbrk, this is really beautiful, congratulations. Smile

It would be really nice to have a smooth scroll, MSX2 version of Nemesis 1, it would a work in the same level as the great Knightmare Gold work by Daniel Caetano. Let's hope FRS (or somebody else) can find time (and interest) to do such work. Smile

@Paulbrk

The idea itself is vey nice, but...

My current problem is time. I do have 15 ongoing MSX projects (3=hardware, 12=software) that it's very frustrating that they never get they finished. I promised myself not to start another project until I flush my current production pipeline.

Also, Gradius-1 was always off course on my wish list, but it's the last of the Gradius series games I'll probably get my hands on. This happens because it will require a lot more work than its brothers because:

1) The SCC version is very crappy (it's a mess!), except for the Jukebox
2) The original version isn't crappy, but don't have the nice SCC music

The idea is to integrate the SCC jukebox on the original game and add the smoothscroll. But off course this will require a lot of work to get everything polished. So this isn't even a project yet, but rather an idea on the freezer.

It would help a lot to flush the pipeline quicker if people could give some help on this forum thread. :)

Is there any chance that one of the hardware projects is a USB host for MSX? Just daydreaming...

@konamiman:

No USB-related project, sorry. Smile

I'm curious: if such hardware ever existed, is it viable to support it on MSX? How much flash you estimate would be needed on the cartridge for a decent UNAPI extension?

PS: No, I'm not going to start another project. It's just a matter of having an idea of the resources needed. Smile
