I have tested meridian.. but there is no way to playback a midi file using the opl4 soundchip ? So the only thing i wanne do is play a midi file on the MSX...

If you don't have a MIDI module connected to turboR neither a Moonsound cartridge, the best way to play MIDI files on your MSX is to use MIO. MIO uses PSG+FMPAC+SCC (you can use one, two or the three sound chips) to play MIDI files amazingly well. But first you need to use SMF2MIO.COM program in order to convert standard midi files to MIO native format. The results are great!
